"And even today, against overpowering odds and prohibitive costs, one does not have to go far in any part of the country to hear voiced the old hopes that stirred millions of immigrants, freed slaves, westward movers, young couples starting out: a little farm, a little shop, a little store -- some kind of place and enterprise of one's own, within and by which one's family could achieve a proper measure of independence, not only of economy, but of satisfaction, thought and character."

-- Wendell Berry

We believe that the best way to change the world is to create your own world. Since starting our farm in 2001 we have raised much of our own food, marketing meat, vegetables and flowers to our neighbors. In turn we have purchased humanely raised beef, pork and chicken from neighbors when we did not have enough of our own.

We raised a family in a healthy and natural environment, and created the kind of life we wanted to live - a productive, creative life that flows with the changing of the seasons, and that honors physical labor while remaining intellectually challenging.

In 2010 we decided to concentrate on growing the best flowers we could. We are lucky to have good neighbors to help us, and we are proud to be supporting our local economy. We love that we work with other small enterprises, all independently yet interdependently making our way through this world.

We are happy to share our farm with you through these pages.

As a working farm we are not open to the public, but we are open to florists and fellow farmers. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
